Kumarahou is traditionally used as a treatment for skin disorders, applied to wounds as a soothing and healing agent. Its most common use is as a remedy for problems of the respiratory tract, such as asthma and bronchitis. However, it has also been used in the treatment of indigestion and heartburn, diabetes, and kidney problems.
Kumarahou is considered to be a detoxifier and “blood cleansing” plant, and is used to treatskin rahes and sores, including lesions produced by skin cancer. Excellent wound healer and moisturiser of the skin
Patete is traditionally used for to help assist with the healing of sores, including cold-sores, scrofulous sores, and gangrenous lesions.
It has also been used as an anti-fungal and can be used to treat athletes foot.
